Experience
Kristen Stevens is the co-founder, recipe developer, and photographer behind Find Your Cocktail. She started her first recipe website, The Endless Meal, in 2011, where she has since shared over 1,200 tested recipes and built a loyal community of home cooks. A former nurse turned full-time recipe creator, she spent five years running an underground restaurant in Vancouver before moving into recipe development and food photography full-time.
In 2026, Kristen and her husband Josh launched Find Your Cocktail to bring that same well-tested, easy-to-follow approach to the home bar. She develops and photographs every cocktail recipe on the site, while Josh, the head mixologist, shakes, stirs, and taste-tests alongside her. Together, they aim to make great drinks approachable, so you can pour something special at home without the fuss.
Get to know Kristen
Hi, I'm Kristen! I live in a small mountain town called Squamish in beautiful British Columbia with my husband Josh and our daughter. When I'm not testing cocktail recipes or behind the camera, you'll usually find me outside. Trail running through our temperate rainforests is one of my happy places, and I'm a summer girl at heart who loves being out on the ocean, especially when we're pulling up spot prawn and crab traps from our local waters.
In the winter, I'm up in the alpine at Whistler as often as I can manage, chasing my daughter down ski runs and nervously following her over jumps. I also love to travel and have been to more than 30 countries across six continents. I started out backpacking in my early twenties, and while I've long since traded the backpack for a carry-on, that love of discovering new places, flavors, and the occasional incredible local drink has never left me.
Frequently asked questions
How did you get into making cocktails?
Honestly, it started the way most good things in our house do, with friends coming over. Josh has always been the one mixing drinks, and over the years, we got a little obsessed with getting each recipe just right. Find Your Cocktail grew out of that, a place to share the drinks we'd already tested again and again on the people we love.
What's the one tool every home bartender needs?
A good cocktail shaker and a jigger. Once you can measure and shake with confidence, almost everything else falls into place.
Which cocktail recipe should I make first?
That's the hardest question to answer! If you're just getting started, I'd go with our classic margarita or a classic Negroni. Both are simple, reliable, and a great way to find your new favorite.
