Irish Mule (made with Irish whiskey)

This Irish mule swaps vodka for Irish whiskey in the classic Moscow mule. Made with lime juice and ginger beer, it’s crisp, refreshing, and easy to make.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ounces Irish whiskey
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • 4 ounces ginger beer
  • Lime and ginger slices for garnish

Method
 

  1. Fill a glass with ice and then add the whiskey and lime juice. Top with some ginger beer and then give your mule a quick stir.

Notes

What is the difference between ginger beer and ginger ale?
Ginger beer and ginger ale differ in both how they’re made and how they taste. Ginger beer is traditionally fermented from ginger, sugar, and water (though most store-bought versions are non-alcoholic) and has a bold, spicy ginger bite. Ginger ale is a carbonated soft drink made with ginger-flavored syrup, giving it a sweeter, milder flavor with more fizz.
