Mango Mezcal Smash
This mango mezcal smash is bright, fruity, and beautifully refreshing. Muddled fresh mango and mint meet smoky mezcal and tart lime for a well-balanced cocktail that's perfect for summer.

This mango mezcal smash is one of my favorite ways to sip mezcal when the weather turns warm. It's bright, fruity, and beautifully refreshing, the kind of cocktail that feels like a little getaway in a glass.
The flavor is what makes this one so good. Muddled fresh mango gives the drink a juicy, tropical sweetness, while mint keeps it garden-fresh and lime brings just the right amount of tartness. Then the mezcal comes through with its gentle smoky edge, which plays beautifully against all that sweet fruit. A splash of bubbly soda water lightens everything up, and a Tajín rim ties it together with a little salty, tangy heat, so you get smoky and sweet, bright and tart, all in one well-balanced sip.
And it comes together easily. A quick muddle, a shake over ice, and a strain into a rimmed glass, then a top of soda water and a garnish of fresh mango on a skewer and a few mint leaves. If you love this one, my blueberry mezcal smash is another fruity, smoky favorite worth keeping on hand for summer.
