Naked & Famous

The Naked & Famous is a bright, bold cocktail that's perfectly balanced and surprisingly easy to make at home. Made with equal parts mezcal, Aperol, yellow Chartreuse, and fresh lime juice, it's citrusy, slightly smoky, and incredibly refreshing.

A naked & famous cocktail is a coupe glass with a lime twist and a bottle of aperol and yellow Chartreuse in the background.

I love how the Naked & Famous manages to be both bold and balanced at the same time. The mezcal gives the drink its signature smoky backbone, while Aperol adds a gentle bitterness and subtle sweetness. Yellow Chartreuse brings warm herbal notes, and fresh lime juice brightens everything up.

The cocktail is made with equal parts of all four ingredients, making it incredibly easy to remember. Just shake mezcal, Aperol, yellow Chartreuse, and fresh lime juice with ice until well-chilled, then strain into a coupe glass. The result is a smooth, vibrant cocktail with layers of citrus, herbs, and smoke.

The Naked & Famous is typically served without a garnish, but I like adding a small twist of lime. It adds a fresh citrus aroma and looks beautiful resting on the edge of the glass.
