Lemon drop shots are known for their bright, zesty flavor and smooth finish. Fresh lemon juice gives the shot its lively citrus bite, while simple syrup balances the tartness with just the right amount of sweetness. The result is a light, refreshing shot that's easy to enjoy - even for people who don't usually love the sharp taste of alcohol.

They're also incredibly simple to make. Vodka, lemon juice, and simple syrup are shaken with ice until well chilled, then strained into small shot glasses. Many people like to serve them with a sugared rim or a lemon wedge on the side for an extra pop of citrus.

Because they're so easy to drink, I've served these lemon drop shots many times, often as a welcome drink when friends arrive at my party. They're bright, fun, and a little playful - the kind of shot that disappears quickly once the tray hits the table.
