Lavender Lemon Drop Martini
This lavender lemon drop martini is a pretty, floral riff on the classic. Vodka, fresh lemon, and floral lavender syrup come together in a lavender sugar-rimmed glass for an elegant, easy cocktail.

This lavender lemon drop martini is a pretty, floral riff on the classic lemon drop, and it might be my favorite way to dress up a simple vodka cocktail. It's bright, a little sweet, and beautifully elegant, the kind of drink I love serving in a sugar-rimmed glass when I want something that feels special without any real fuss. It looks gorgeous on the table, too, which never hurts.
The flavor is where it really shines. Lavender and lemon are a match made in heaven, so the soft, floral sweetness of lavender syrup plays beautifully against all that bright, tart citrus. I skip the triple sec you'd find in a traditional lemon drop because I find the orange flavor competes with the lavender rather than letting it shine. A rim of lavender sugar ties it all together, adding a delicate floral sweetness to every sip. You get sweet and tart, floral and bright, all in one lovely glass.
And it could not be simpler to make. A quick shake, a strain into a sugar-rimmed glass, and a little lavender sprig on top, and you've got a lavender lemon drop martini that looks and tastes like a treat.
