Ingredients  

  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 1 ounce coffee liqueur
  • 1 ounce chilled espresso
  • 1 ounce simple syrup
  • 6 coffee beans

Method
 

  1. Add a handful of ice to your cocktail shaker. Add the vodka, coffee liquor, espresso, and simple syrup.

The foam on top of this recipe comes from machine-brewed espresso. If you use strong drip coffee instead and want the foam on top, you'll need to add an egg white or a few drops of a cocktail foamer.
To make simple syrup, heat 1 tablespoon of sugar with 2 tablespoons of water until the sugar dissolves. For the sugar, you can use granulated sugar, honey, or maple syrup.
