Champagne Margarita (Mexican 75)
This champagne margarita is a bubbly twist on the classic made with tequila, fresh lime juice, agave, and sparkling wine. It's bright, festive, and finished with a classic salt rim.

One of my favorite cocktails to make when I want something festive but still easy is this champagne margarita - sometimes called a Mexican 75. It's the love child of a classic margarita and the champagne cocktail, a French 75. This one is made with tequila, fresh lime juice, agave, and sparkling wine, all finished with a classic salt rim.
I stir the tequila, lime juice, and agave with ice, then strain it into a salt-rimmed glass and top it with sparkling wine. The lime brings that bright margarita zing, while the agave adds a smooth sweetness that blends beautifully with the tequila.
A brut sparkling wine keeps the drink crisp and refreshing, though prosecco or cava work well if you like a slightly softer, fruitier finish. The result is bright, bubbly, and just the right mix of playful and polished.
