Torchlight Cocktail

The torchlight cocktail is bright, fresh, and boldly spicy, with fun margarita vibes. Tequila, tart lime, and smooth honey syrup meet a few splashes of Cholula for a lively drink with real heat.

Tequila is one of my favorite spirits to mix with because it works so well with citrus, spice, and fresh flavors.

The torchlight cocktail is for anyone who loves a little heat with their happy hour. It's bright, fresh, and boldly spicy, the kind of drink that wakes up your whole palate and gets people talking. I love pouring this one when I want something with margarita vibes but a fun, fiery twist, whether it's for a backyard hang or a get-together where I'm keen to serve something a little different.

The flavor is a beautiful balancing act. Tequila gives it that familiar agave backbone, fresh lime keeps everything tart and lively, and a little honey syrup brings a smooth, mellow sweetness that softens the edges. Then comes the fun part: a good splash of Cholula that adds a tangy, savory heat right through the middle. You get sweet and spicy, bright and bold, all in one lively glass. A sprinkle of cayenne over the top brings even more warmth for anyone who likes to lean into the heat.

And it could not be simpler to make. A quick shake, a pour over a big ice cube, and a garnish of cayenne, a spicy red pepper, and a lime wedge, and your torchlight cocktail is ready to sip.
