Tequila Matador
This tequila matador is a lightly elevated take on a tropical cocktail, served in a chilled coupe. Tequila, triple sec, sweet pineapple, and tart lime come together in one bright, refreshing sip.

This tequila matador is a little more grown-up than your average tropical drink, the kind of cocktail I love serving in a coupe when I want something that feels a touch elevated but still goes down easy. It's bright, refreshing, and just boozy enough to feel like a proper happy-hour treat, perfect for sipping slowly on a warm evening.
The flavor leans into everything I love about a good tequila cocktail. Sweet pineapple and tart lime keep it fresh and lively, while triple sec adds a gentle orange sweetness that rounds everything out. The tequila comes through a little more here than in my lighter tequila swampwater, so you get something tropical and bright with a bit more backbone. It's smooth, balanced, and easy to love.
And it could not be simpler to put together. A quick shake, a strain into a chilled coupe, and a thin slice of pineapple on top, and you've got a tequila matador that feels special with almost no effort at all.
