Brûléed Peach Whiskey Sour
This peach whiskey sour is made with brûléed peaches for a rich, caramelized twist on the classic. Warm whiskey, tart lemon, and sweet, torched peaches come together in one special end-of-summer sip.

This peach whiskey sour is what I make when summer is winding down, the first cozy days of fall start creeping in, and I'm craving something a little different than a classic whiskey sour. It's rich, fruity, and just a little bit special, the kind of cocktail that feels like a treat but comes together with ingredients you probably already have on hand. I love pouring this one when I want something that bridges the seasons beautifully.
The magic here is in the brûléed peaches. A sprinkle of sugar and a pass with a kitchen torch caramelizes the tops into a hard, crackly crust that tastes just like caramel. Muddle those sweet, smoky slices into the shaker, and they bring incredible depth to the drink. From there, whiskey adds warmth, fresh lemon keeps things tart and bright, and a little simple syrup rounds it all out. You get sweet and tart, rich and bright, with that gorgeous caramelized peach flavor coming through in every sip.
And it's easier than it looks. Once your peaches are brûléed, it's just a quick muddle and a shake, then a brûléed peach slice on a skewer to finish. It's a little extra effort that pays off in a cocktail that tastes like you really fussed.
Another seasonal variation you might enjoy is my sage whiskey sour.
