Classic Whiskey Highball (AKA: Whiskey Soda)
This whiskey highball is made with whiskey, soda water, and a squeeze of fresh lemon for a light, crisp drink. It's refreshing, simple, and easy to make.

When I want a no-fuss drink that still feels a little thoughtful, I reach for a whiskey highball. It's made with just whiskey, soda water, and a squeeze of lemon, keeping things light, crisp, and easy to sip.
I love how the soda water softens the whiskey while still letting its flavor come through. The lemon adds a bright, citrusy lift that ties everything together, creating a drink that's simple but never flat.
It's a great go-to when you want something refreshing without overthinking it, and it works with all kinds of whiskey. If you're in the mood for something with a little more sweetness and spice, my whiskey ginger is another easy favorite to try.

Notes

I use a higher-quality club soda like this one. It has small bubbles, a sharp fizz, and a delicate aroma, making it perfect for bringing out the flavors of fine whiskies.
