Classic Margarita (the only recipe you need!)

If you're going to make a margarita, make the classic. With fresh lime juice, tequila, and orange liqueur shaken until icy cold, it's bright, crisp, and perfectly balanced.

A classic margarita is the kind of drink that never goes out of style. Fresh lime juice, tequila, and a touch of orange liqueur (or simple syrup) are shaken until icy cold, then poured over ice in a salt-rimmed rocks glass. It's bright, crisp, and perfectly balanced with tart lime, smooth tequila, and just enough sweetness to round everything out.

This is the margarita I keep coming back to. No bottled mixes, no fuss, just fresh ingredients and the simple shake-and-pour method that makes such a great cocktail. Add a lime wedge, take a sip, and you'll see why this classic has been loved for generations.

Made this on the weekend for friends using your simple syrup option and it was great. Perfect quantities.
