Two glasses of pink cocktail with ice, garnished with strawberries and lime slices, sit on a marble surface with a gray napkin and loose strawberries nearby.

This strawberry margarita is a fresh, fruity twist on a classic margarita, with bright lime, smooth tequila, and a burst of real strawberry flavor. It's vibrant, balanced, and just the right mix of sweet and tart.

The key is a simple strawberry syrup made with fresh strawberries, sugar, and water. I love how it adds a clean, natural sweetness that pairs perfectly with the tequila and keeps the drink tasting fresh.

It's easy to make one or scale up for a crowd, which makes it perfect for casual get-togethers. If you're in the mood for something icy, my frozen strawberry margarita is another fun option to try.

  • 1 ounce strawberry simple syrup recipe below
  • Fresh strawberries and lime slices to garnish
Strawberry Simple Syrup
  • 1 cup chopped strawberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water

Method

  1. Begin by making the strawberry simple syrup. Add the strawberries, sugar, and water to a small pot over medium-high heat. Bring the pot to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove the pot from the heat and let it cool. Strain it through a fine-mesh sieve, then skim off any foam from the top of the syrup.
